JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for the specification, acquisition, loading, validation and staging of upstream data sources used in the calculation of sales commission programs, as well as the specification, generation and delivery of any downstream deliverables such as payroll file outputs, BI data feeds, and other system integration needs.

This involves closely partnering with internal IT, Billing, Salesforce, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure that current and anticipated data needs are met quickly, reliably, and efficiently.

It also involves directing, on a day by day basis, the configuration activities of vendor personnel to ensure that the resulting configuration accurately reflects the intended system architecture and is responsive to anticipated exception cases.

Hands-on configuration experience with the Synygy system is highly desirable.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be the single point of contact for major inputs and outputs from the commission systems, ensuring that reliable data is available within expected timeframes.

Business/System Analyst role in configuration and change management of primarily commission plan components in Synygy.


Identify, prioritize, and execute on system enhancements to continuously improve the end user experience.

Complete system configuration changes and manage vendor partners’ assistance on configuration support when we outsource them. Develop, document and perform system and user acceptance tests.

Serve as a liaison among HR, IT, HRIS, Payroll, and key business stakeholders to provide systems support and to fully leverage our systems capabilities to meet the needs of the business and our workforce.

Provide escalated system support and troubleshoot issues for internal system administrative users in the Compensation and Talent Planning Department.

Perform other duties as requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to take initiative and work in a highly dynamic environment
Ability to handle multiple projects under tight timelines
Ability to work comfortably with technical and non-technical individuals
Ability to synthesize business issues into technical solutions and to document and execute system requirements
Demonstrable understanding of business analysis and system/process design skills
Strong technical skills with concentrated abilities in relational database and compensation system configurations
In-depth understanding of the movement of sets of data, master systems and downstream systems and the way data sets are related to one another

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent work experience and/or certifications

Related Work Experience
5+ years of data systems development/architecture experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Synygy or other comparable sales commission system is strongly preferred

Working knowledge of sales commission plans and compensation processes

Exposures to major billing and CRM systems (Salesforce, Siebel, ICOMS and CSG preferred)

Telecommunications/Cable industry experience preferred
