As a Product Manager IT, you would typically be involved in management of IT projects and administration of multiple IT functions across of series of teams.
This role will be viewed as a key liaison between the development organization, IT counterparts in the Business Analyst area, and the business. The ability to summarize complex technical issues to non-technical employees is key. Additionally, an understanding and appreciation of the role of our account management team will be critical in this area. Finally, the ability to negotiate compromises between the business and IT where IT meets business priorities within the available capacity is an important skill set.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Interaction with business constituents to understand current and future IT development needs
Assure work is appropriate prioritized and scheduled based on business priorities and IT capacity
Look for trends to combine IT work for efficiency or provide a better solution to business constituents
Assure functional and technical design for IT work positions technology to best support current and future business needs
Understand system capabilities and help guide business constituents to understand the functionality available in the system
Complete assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
Monitor and help manage IT work across multiple IT functions involved in the custom development process
Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion
Assist development managers with elimination of barriers to success for IT work
Coordinate work activities with other supervisors
Develop plans to meet short-term objectives
Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan
Performs project evaluation and cost-benefit analysis
Must be familiar with system development life cycle for managing systems scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member
Assist development managers with resource planning based on future business trends
Generally responsible for all work requirements on a major project(s)
Assess performance, reward results, motivate and foster matrix management
Direct team to complete projects on time, within budget
Delegate, integrate activities and resolve conflicts
Manage overall work of 5 to 12 IS and business professionals in multiple work groups
Quality assurance review and evaluation and documentation of team procedures

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher level of education or equivalent experience
4+ years of IT project management experience
4+ years of business analysis experience
4+ years experience working with SDLC development projects
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior IT team management experience
Healthcare experience
Claims Platform experience
Pharmaceutical experience
Experience with MS Visio
