Primary Responsibilities:


Design, implement and maintain TIBCO applications
within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Develop, test, implement and maintain application
software working with established processes
Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA
Establish, refine and integrate development and test
environment tools and software as needed
Identify production and non-production application
issues
Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize
applications of TIBCO developed projects
Provide technical support and consultation for TIBCO
application and infrastructure questions
Serve as a mentor to less experienced developers 
Ability to work with systems analyst to collect and
understand requirement and translate that into IT functional requirement and
technical solution architecture blueprint.
Hands on application developer with extensive
development experience in building and supporting TIBCO based web services
using both SOAP and REST.
Extensive hands-on experience in development/
deployment/ integration/ Support using Spring MVC framework.
Perform code review and identify functional gaps in
end-to-end application development life cycle.
Implement best practices/standards on IBM WebSphere
based runtime environment.
Ability to analyze application inter-dependencies with
various infrastructure components such as Active Directory Server, WAS,
and ESB to help perform root cause analysis. 
Strong working knowledge and prior development
experience in the following areas: Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JSF, Ajax,
Rational Application Developer 8.x or Eclipse 3.x, OO design, Web Services
development and governance lifecycle.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication
skills
Will be required to formulate and define technical
scope and objectives based on end user needs and through understanding of
business systems and requirement. 
24/7 on call responsibilities on a rotational basis to
provide application support.
Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.
Works with less structured, more complex issues.
Serves as a resource to others.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree (or higher) with previous Java
Development experience (writing code) OR High School Diploma/GED with 1+
year of professional Java Development experience
Previous exposure to full Lifecycle Development Process
(SDLC)
Able to work one week on-call rotation every 6 weeks or
as needed




Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a Computer Science
field
Health care industry experience
previous TIBCO development experience
TIBCO certification
