About this job

We are looking for a caring, skilled professional who is motivated to learn and is dedicated to the needs and safety of the patients. Hours:
Tuesdays 8:00 AM-5:00 PM - Thursdays 11:00 AM-5:30 PM - Fridays 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
(Hours may vary periodically based on doctor's on call schedule)
*There may also be opportunity for Monday hours once fully trained*
Administrative duties include
Answering telephones 
Greeting patients 
Updating and filing patients' medical records
Handling correspondence 
Scheduling appointments
Assisting with obtaining medical histories and new patient intake
Performing various telephone duties such as informing patients of test results, and relaying information and messages between doctor and patients.
Coordinates outgoing Referrals as ordered by the Provider
Other misc. duites, including faxing medical records to referring doctors
Maintains confidentiality of all paitent and medical informationClinical duties include (for CMA)
Rooming patients (obtaining vitals, verifying/updating medications and allergies, updating PMH)
Performing various telephone duties such as informing patients of test results, and relaying information and messages between doctor and patients.
Document all pertinent information in the patient's chart so that the history is up to date and accurate
Assists with medical procedures and prepares injections as instructed
Coordinates lab and imaging orders, as ordered by the provider
Assists provider with medication refills and refill requests
Assists provider with end of visit care plans 
Cleans and stocks patient examination rooms
Maintains confidentiality of all paitent and medical informationEducation:
Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program
CMA(AAMA) required, or to be Certified through AAMA within 3 months from date of hire(OR) Graduate from accredited Medical Administrative Assistant Program requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) CertificationKnowlege, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowlege of and ability to use a computer
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Strong written and verbal skills
Ability to read and communicate effetively in English
Education or training with EHR/EMR
Education or training with basic medical terminology
