Server - Part Time

1) Supports a strong commitment to world class guest service and ensures a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for restaurant patrons.

2) Completes training requirements and follows service standards as trained.

3) Greets guests promptly and courteously in assigned work station.

4) Understands and executes established procedures for verifying guest’s ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and knows how to prevent a guest from over indulging.

5) Learns all menus and is able to communicate all food and beverage offerings.

6) Effectively uses suggestive selling techniques.

7) Records food and beverage orders, enters orders into computer system, monitors status of order preparation and safely transports order from kitchen to guest.

8) Monitors and addresses guest needs during meal.

9) Collects monies owed for food and beverages and properly performs all guest check accountability procedures.

10) Performs tip declaration activities and compensates indirectly tipped associates, i.e., Bussers, Bartenders, Runners, as per established service procedures.

11) Performs daily cleaning activities.

12) Performs food running and station set-up / break-down responsibilities as assigned.

13) Performs any other duties, assignments and responsibilities as requested.

Education and/or Experience

High School education or equivalent experience

Mathematical Skills / Reasoning Ability

Ability to calculate figures and make change

Communication Skills

Ability to communicate verbally with customers and other associates

Ability to write business correspondence as required

Physical requirements

Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Able to stand for extended periods

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Possess any local and state required license(s)

Knowledge of proper dining service procedures

Maintain appearance, attire and hygiene standards

Follow established sanitary practices of hand washing and handling of service ware

Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
