PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work to complete urgent tasks preferentially.
Schedule flexibility to meet the needs of the institution, adaptable to changes in workload and/or work schedule.
Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of hospital staff
Ability to travel to various operating units of the hospital. Ability to walk up / down stairs and use the elevators.
Ability to work in a stressful environment
Ability to use hands and fingers repetitively (ie. use of computer keyboard)
Ability to stand, sit, stoop, and kneel

To evaluate, plan, configure, install, coordinate, and maintain the department's complex computer system, robotics, and hospital~wide automated dispensing devices. To oversee and maintain the daily operations of these systems to ensure optimal patient outcomes and appropriate billing of medications. To install, implement, test, and support new / revised department technology and computer systems. To create and write system reports to accommodate internal and external user needs. To monitor systems / technology consistently to ensure a stable, patient safe environment with minimal interruption of service. To maintain the Medication Formulary database. To maintain a knowledge base of department systems / technology to act as the department expert related to these topics.
Accountabilities:
Oversees the maintenance of daily operations of the pharmacy computer system and automation technology (ie. robotics, hospital~wide automated dispensing devices, carousel technology) to ensure the seamless provision of systems, automation, and billing services.
Keeps abreast of and fully utilizes emerging technology in developing computer systems and automation applications / solutions.
Coordinates the installation, implementation, and support of new/revised department technology and computer systems.
Monitors systems / technology to ensure a stable environment with minimal interruption of services. Provides analytical, technical, and problem resolution services.
Designs, writes, and maintains system reports to accommodate internal and external user needs.
