Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative is a nonprofit organic farmer's cooperative of over 100 member farmers in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. We focus on creating healthy high quality foods from our highly maintained and enriched soils on our small scale family farms. LFFC serves all of Eastern Pennsylvania, New York City, and most of the tri state area by connecting the farmer and customer, delivering the best local organic produce, value added products, and humanely raised and pastured animal products to retail establishments, co-ops, restaurants, and institutions.
SUMMARY
Responsible for wholesale customer accounts (Chefs, Co-ops, Stores, Institutions, etc.) with a focus on our local farmed goods and knowledge of the seasonality of those products. This position will identify opportunities, anticipating customer needs, customer sales, farm product coordination and expanding potential new customer bases, while providing superior customer service. A strong desire to help the small sustainable farmer is a must.
SALES RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for established sales growth with assigned customer lists
Accept/enter customer phone, email and fax orders; ensure orders are recorded accurately
Ensure customers receive timely and accurate information on product availability, quality and price. An understanding of the seasonal availability of our products
Respond to customer phone/email inquiries and ensure that customer service is upheld to the highest degree
Able to give and understand substitutions to customers for items ordered that are unavailable
Maintain customer interaction into Salesforce CRM
Identify, qualify and make phone solicitations and visits of potential new customers and potential accounts
Visit customers and farmers. Able to lead tours and some workshops explaining the value of what LFFC does
Work with Sales Team, Warehouse, Transportation, Accounting and CSA to ensure customer satisfaction on all levels
Follow product supply and demand protocols
Perform all duties and responsibilities in an ethical manner and in accordance with LFFC policies and procedures
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management
