The Feeder operates a feed truck and milling system to load feed from a feed bin onto a truck and deliver the correct amount of feed to the cattle's feed bunk. Inspection, minor servicing, and maintenance of the feed truck are a part of the Feeder's job duties. Periodic cleaning of bunks by scooping with a shovel may be required. Feeding is performed by operating controls from the cab of a feed truck but the employee is still subject to the seasonal weather conditions of temperature and precipitation as well as dust. Work is sometimes performed in non-daylight hours. Safe driving practices are imperative for employees in this job.
Perform repetitive tasks. Examples include:
Operation of feed box while driving of a feed truck
Feeding cattle on time
Accurate feeding amounts
Precise feed distribution in feed bunks
Inspection, minor servicing and maintenance of a feed truck
Cleanliness and housekeeping
Maintaining a safe working environment
Any other duties assigned
Required Qualifications
* Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
* Must be 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous Cargill experience
* Previous e xperience in driving a feed truck
* Previous experience working in a feed lot facility
* Previous experience working in agricultural production
* Work history in the last 12 months
