The Material Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and ordering materials to support multiple repair, pack out, and distribution facilities.

  • BS/BA Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or related degree.
    • MBA/MS is a plus
    • APICS certification is a strong plus and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a supply chain management role
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and systems
  • Experience in reverse logistics is a plus
  • Proficiency in corporate finance and accounting principles
  • Must have ability to work effectively in a fast paced, cross-functional team environment
  • Must have excellent analytical skills, and must demonstrate ability to solve complex process problems, adapt to new and different methods and procedures, and work successfully without boundaries
  • Must be self-directed with the ability to bring projects to closure
  • Must be proficient with MS Office
  • Manages assigned commodities by communicating planning requirements with internal customers, and external suppliers to achieve optimum supply chain inventory levels
  • Continuously identify, design, and develop process improvements involving the materials management
  • Works closely with many other organizations within the company including production operations, engineering, program management, quality, and accounting
  • Modeling (tool) of material pipeline
  • Participate, develop, and implement process improvement techniques
  • Manage work order process, or familiar material transformation scheduling tools
  • Responsible for coordinating material availability
  • Define material policies and procedures for tasks under their responsibility
