Stein Mart is currently seeking a results oriented professional
enthusiastic about customer service and fashion. We are looking for someone who
can create visually pleasing merchandise floor and table displays to drive
sales and enhance the customer's shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
Market and merchandise by creating displays and placing merchandise for maximum appeal.
Follow written and verbal guidelines to assure that appropriate visual displays and signage are set to publicize merchandise and special events.
Ensure high quality floor maintenance.
Study and plan visual and fashion merchandising concepts.
Offer suggestions, information and training for visual display strategies and techniques.
Coordinate and discuss plans for setting visual displays with the Store Management Team.
Prepare short term plans to reach store objectives, goals, and contribute to team efforts.
Assist in minimizing loss of company assets.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
1-2 years applicable retail work experience; Fashion merchandising skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Results oriented; willingness and ability to follow-through, make informed decisions, complete tasks and problem solve.
Proven ability to adapt and implement changes required in a fast paced retail
environment.
Moderate physical effort required; Standing and walking will constitute 95% of a work shift; Stooping and lifting various merchandise contents of up to 20lbs. or more on an as needed basis.
Ability to identify colors.
Willingness to work in multiple store locations.
