Accounts Receivable Coordinator - Collections
A great company in Brentwood is looking for an accounts receivable coordinator.
**Full time - Direct hire!**
Job Duties
Primary Duties:
Creates and implements new collection processes to increase efficiency
Provides customer service regarding collection issues
Processes and reviews account adjustments
Resolves client discrepancies
Processes short payments
Monitors and maintains assigned accounts, to include: customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off, customer reconciliations and processing credit memos
Reduces delinquency for assigned accounts
Communicates and follows up effectively regarding customer accounts on a timely basis
Establishes and maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers
Provides weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor
Provides monthly Delinquency notices
Processes and reports on monthly credit memos
 
Assumes responsibility for high volume phone calls to assigned delinquent customers
Reconciles customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are due
Provides excellent and considerate customer service to internal and external customers
Other duties as required and assigned
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
High volume, corporate collections experience preferred
Accounts Receivable experience preferred
Knowledge of billing and collections procedures
PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Essential Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret bills
Ability to write and send proper business correspondence
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to provide excellent customer service when dealing with anger/rejection
Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
