Production Scheduler - Valvoline

Production Scheduler job duties include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Interface with local staff, suppliers, and Corporate Supply Chain planning team to establish optimal utilization of the facility to meet customer demand.
• Schedule all production related activities for the facility.
• Utilization of SAP business software and execute transactions, including but not limited to: Blending and Packaging Process Orders, Stock Transfers, Purchase Orders, Warehouse transfers.
• Maintain timeliness and accuracy of data in SAP and planning tools.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining adequate raw materials.
• Management of bulk inventory levels as designated by Corporate Supply Chain.
• Coordination of Vendor Managed Materials related to Bulk Blending.
• Participation in Safety efforts and site's "Zero Incident culture"
• Involvement in plant projects and marketing projects as appropriate.  

Valvoline is seeking a Production Scheduler to join our team.

This position is located at the Valvoline Houston, TX facility.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in a supply chain, operations or engineering discipline and 2 years related work
• Experience and understanding of supply chain best practices
• Must be detailed oriented and capable of functioning effectively and a fast paced work environment
• Comfortable with change and adaptation
• Team player
• Excellent math and computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using ERP (SAP preferred), MRP and advanced planning tools a plus
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
• (This position could also be elevated to a Process Engineer based on education and experience.)
