Shift Manager - Valvoline - Full-time / Part-time

Responsibilities: 

• Support and Back Up of Hourly Team Leader.
• Leadership in Safety and Compliance.
• Assist with training of hourly work force.
• Administrative support.
• Back up for Scheduling and raw material supply
• Productivity and Maintenance improvement
• Ensure excellence in Customer Service.
• Assist with continuous improvement efforts and Lean / 5S.

Valvoline is seeking a Shift Manager to join our team.

This position is located in Houston, TX.

As Shift Supervisor, you will plan and oversee facility operations. You will also be responsible for the following:

Required:

• 4 year degree in applicable discipline such as Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, etc.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industry or manufacturing, with a proven track record of success. 
• Comfortable in front of groups and in one on one setting.   Ability to offer training and communicate effectively.  
• Must be able to work a later shift, for example, 1 PM – 9PM.  
• Must have proven success, with examples of working in a team environment and/or leading a team to accomplish goals.
• Working knowledge of maintenance software, productivity tracking, inventory management systems preferred.  
• Working knowledge / education in Lean Manufacturing and/or 5S.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with SAP a big plus.
