Presbyterian Homes & Services is seeking full and part time Trained Medication Assistants (TMA) to join our team at Boutwells Landing in Oak Park Heights, MN.

These positions include working every other weekend and scheduled holidays. This community includes Transitional (Short-Term) Care, Long-Term Care, Assisted Living and Memory Care.

Presbyterian Homes & Services offers competitive wages and benefits, with Trained Medication Assistants starting at over $12 an hour, and full time status defined as working 60-80 paid hours during the two week pay period. We take your past experience into consideration for your starting wage and we offer regular step increases based on hours worked.

As a Trained Medication Assistant, you will play a critical role in caring for older adults- not only physically with administering medications and giving them personal care, but emotionally, socially, mentally, and spiritually. You will also get to work with a team who has the same mission, and have the opportunity in developing and executing innovative ideas about how to best serve the older adults entrusted to our care. Responsibilities

The Trained Medication Assistant is responsible for the provision of high quality care and services to Care Center residents consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices. The Trained Medication Assistant administers medications and treatments under the direct supervision of a nurse and performs Resident Assistant responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a state approved training program and current certification in medication administration in state(s) in which he/she practices.
  • Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program and current certification in state(s) in which he/she practices.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
