Automotive Technician - Full-time

Main Stream Motors is a faith based company dedicated to help customers find the ideal top quality pre-owned vehicle to meet their needs and budget. We also diagnose and repair full range of automotive services.

We are looking for a team member who has strong leadership skills, dependable and has a customer-focused attitude. 

Lead Mechanic / Master Technician Duties include but are not limited to:
Ability to confidently and accurately diagnose and repair full range of automotive services

Perform routine NYS inspections

Know and adhere to safety and environmental standards for repair facilities and maintain a clean and safe working environment

Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, grip, handle, lift/ carry up to 60 pounds, and push/pull up to 60 pounds throughout the work day

Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry and well as in the diagnostics arena

Qualifications:
Must have a Valid Driver's License

5+ years of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience including but not limited to all electrical systems, engine, transmission, suspension, braking system, emission system

ASE Certifications (or a desire to obtain certification)

Domestic and Foreign repair experience preferred

Basic math skills

Must have full set of tools

Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and diagnostic instruments

High school diploma or equivalent
