Overall Responsibility: The Maintenance Technician has the overall responsibility of maintaining most every aspect of the 43 physical restaurant facilities of the Company, a franchisee of Burger King.      

Supervisory/Managerial: This position is overseen by the Company Construction Supervisor.

Key Interactions:  This position interacts with the restaurant team members, restaurant management, District Managers, customers, members of the field operations team, office personnel, and outside vendors.

 Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Ensures preventative and routine maintenance of restaurant facilities are completed in accordance with management directives, budgetary guidelines and company standards
  • Available to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Prompt, dependable and regular attendance

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of repair, maintenance or construction experience
  • Satisfactory background check
  • Clean driving record and valid drivers license

Traditional Physical Requirements:

  • Safely lift, move or carry 20 – 120 pounds of heavy tools or objects and equipment related to the restaurant, maintenance and construction fields
  • Stand, walk and sit for long periods of time
  • Climb onto ladders to service lights, ceilings, roofs, and equipment
  • Frequently squat, stoop, bend or kneel to service grouting, install floor tiles, baseboards, drains, shelving and chase areas
  • Routinely use overhead reaching motions for the purposes of ceiling tile and grid installation, lighting and trim installation, and servicing of sheetrock,  venting and the like
  • Routinely use forward reaching and lifting motions for the purposes painting, hardware installation, and the installation of dining room furniture, trim, paneling and the like
  • Requires frequent exposure to fluctuating temperatures in such areas as outside, and in cooler, freezer and cooking areas.
