Job Description:

Do you enjoy planning and coordinating events? Work with our store management and corporate special events team to plan, organize and implement in-store and community sponsored activities that differentiate The Bon-Ton Stores and generate maximum revenue and exposure.

The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for booking, coordinating, planning general marketing and participating in the events. They will also initiate and develop relationships with community businesses and organizations to create an opportunity for mutual success. They also handle all communications with internal staff and community partners and assist with media requests. This person is very involved in coordinating food services arrangements, decorative set ups, distribution of print materials, maintaining spreadsheet of proposed budget, actual costs and evaluations for major events.

  • Experience in event planning to include aspects of business, communications, written work, and public relations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to work well with others verbally
  • Creative, imaginative and innovative style
  • Good decision making/analytical skills to work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, prioritizing and detail oriented skills to handle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to travel
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office applications
