Plans are in place to grow exponentially over the next few years. We currently have 5 Babalu restaurants in successful operation and have plans to more than double in size over the next 18 months with restaurant openings in Chapel Hill, NC; Atlanta, GA; Lexington, KY; Nashville, TN; Greenville, SC; and second sites in both Charlotte, NC and Memphis, TN. The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire restaurant while continuing to support our Eat Here Brands "Guest First" culture. The General Manager has a strong Hospitality presence but will also work hand-in-hand with the Executive Chef to ensure the entire restaurant operation is working at capacity. This individual will excel in his/her teaching and training ability and have the patience and knowledge for both the leadership and development of the entire staff and ensuring each and every guest has an exceptional experience.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Create a fun learning atmosphere in a positive and team-oriented environment
• Facilitate the interview, new hire and training processes
• Foster a growth-cultivating work environment through ongoing training, coaching and development
• Ensure every guest receives outstanding products and service
• Develop and implement in-house marketing to increase sales
• Conduct inventory and place orders
• Process deliveries and convert invoices
• Oversee all inventories in the store
• Ensure all areas of the restaurant are in proper operation
• Prepare P&L statements
• Maintain excellence in food quality by upholding all recipe and product specifications
• Forecast food, beverage and labor costs and maintain each within budget parameters
• Create schedules
• Set a positive example. Your attitude will reflect on the entire team, and a happy team equals happy guests!

Skills and Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of GM experience in a high volume (Min. $3M) FULL SERVICE restaurant
• Previous restaurant opening experience a plus
• Ability to write recipes and understand product costing
• Professional communications skills
• Ability to work and lead in a team environment
• Ability to properly lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong understanding of P&Ls
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel/spreadsheet knowledge preferred)
• ServSafe and HACCP knowledge required
