Reporting to the Group Leader, Production Supervisor or Production Manager of the division, the Mixer operator would manage the activities in the “Mixing Room” that contribute to smooth (efficient) manufacturing of a consistently high quality paste

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

1. Interact with Group Leader, Scheduler, or Production Supervisor regarding daily production schedule.

2. Interact with weigh room operator regarding availability of Raw materials for the batch.

3. Verify the Raw Material against the Weigh sheet and Bring Raw material skids to the Mix room from the staging area.

4. Add and mix raw materials according to defined procedures and record lot numbers accurately.

5. Return the “Used” Raw material skids to the staging area for verification to the weigh room operator.

6. Notify formulator or supervisor of any out of specification test results.

7. Clean equipment (vats, valves, caps, and mixers).

8. Label and move scrap paste, acetone, and styrene drums to proper storage location.
9. Check tank farm to confirm resin availability.

10. Check mix holding tank availability.

11. Clean up spills, Sweep mix area and Keep area clean – both mix room and mezzanine mix area.

12. Notify supervisor of any mechanical problems with mix, equipment, errors, or hazards, etc.

13. Provide records and reports as required by the Quality Management System.

14. Performs Misc. tasks in production area as directed by the Group Leader or Production Supervisor.

Required Job Qualifications

High school diploma (GED) equivalent, or 6 months of experience in manufacturing plant environment preferably in the SMC, plastics, or in a chemical related field.

Good verbal skills and an eye for details.

Multi-task Oriented and Mechanical Minded.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to drive Forklift.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and handle full 55 gallon drums.

Ability to follow written instructions and procedures precisely with no deviation.
