Max & Erma's at the Holiday Inn/Roberts Centre in Wilmington is looking for a Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic leadership team. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operation, including guest and associate satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment to both Max & Erma’s and Ownership. The Restaurant manager works with both the FOH and BOH to provide overall leadership, support, supervision and direction in order to maintain and enhance the operating standards to positively impact the overall guest experience. The Restaurant Manager also has a pointed focus on operations, sales, quality, cleanliness, and safety. Given the nature of the business, applicants must have flexible availability to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must have management experience in a fast-paced casual dining restaurant (fast food experience is not applicable).

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Passionate: Is relentless in the pursuit of purpose.
  • Openly communicates with the General Manager regarding all restaurant operations and personnel issues.
  • Acts as General Manager when the General Manager is on leave or vacation.
  • Is competent in all responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager job.
  • Interviews and hires associates as directed by the General Manager.
  • Makes recommendations and is actively involved in the training, coaching, development, discipline, and termination of associates as directed by the General Manager.
  • Oversees the ordering and purchasing for the restaurant.
  • Oversees the train the trainer program.
  • Oversees labor management for the restaurant.
  • Plays an active role in and becomes proficient in planning and analysis.
  • Regularly talks with guests to ensure high guest satisfaction.
  • Organization and execution of departmental meetings.
  • Communicates, teaches and recognizes Purposeful Hospitality.
  • Is able to lead through Max & Erma’s Vision, Values, and Culture programs
  • Maintains and reports declining budget.
  • Maintains Add on Sales Results.
  • Maintains OSAT result and communication with team members and develops action plans.
  • Is responsible for planning and execution of all offsite events.
  • Is a positive role model in the community.
  • Represents Columbus Hospitality and protects the assets of the owners.
  • Liaison between Accounting / Human Resources / and Sales and Marketing Department with Max and Erma’s.
  • Builds a positive working relationship between business units. (Hotel, Convention Center)
  • Obtains and Maintains certification of Tips, Servsafe, and Life Saver.
  • Is responsible for assisting the General Manager with marketing, budget, forecasting, people development, and execution of operations.
