FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - 70% National Travel
POSITION SUMMARY:
Field Service Technician will be responsible for repairing, troubleshooting and installing packaging equipment at the customer site. Technicians will also conduct training with client maintenance staff, sales and technicians / operators at customer site. Qualified candidates will have a strong Mechanical / Electrical / Programming background. 70% domestic travel is required and Technicians will work out of their home (expenses are reimbursable)
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance / troubleshooting of packaging machines
- Electrical programming of PLC's and ability to modify Ladder Logic of existing programs
- Experience with Servos and Robotics
- Mechanical aptitude, capable of using hand and power tools - Ability to travel 70% Domestically
- Excellent communication skills - Must be able to work independently
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Diagnose and repair equipment using pneumatic and electrical drawings.
- Diagnose and repair equipment using PLC and Ladder Logic.
- Conduct in-house and field service training with customers, co-workers, and sales reps.
- Install equipment at client site
- Test, calibrate, and verify equipment performance and accuracy prior to shipping.
- Provide technical phone support for customers, co-workers and sales reps.
- Troubleshoot and program Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Diagnose, repair & replace servo drives, servo motors, PLC and touchscreen units.
