MENTOR Maryland’s –is an innovative leader in the provision of community-based services for children & adolescents. As a Recruiter you will recruit and certify Foster Families that serve medically fragile youth in Frederick/Montgomery Counties. We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a Licensed Recruiter. The Licensed Recruiter is responsible for conducting and writing SAFE Home Studies, performing health and safety inspections, information sessions and pre-service training for potential Foster Parents. The Recruiter is responsible for marketing and community outreach; managing a pipeline of prospective Foster Parents and achieving monthly, quarterly and annual goals in regard to certifying new homes. Key Responsibilities:

Marketing and community outreach to identify potential foster parents Coordinate and facilitate pre-service Conduct information sessions and manage a pipeline of prospective Foster Parents Conduct SAFE study interviews and write SAFE home studies on potential Foster Parents Maintains records and prepares licensing reports to Recruitment Manager Keeps informed on new developments, methods, and techniques in the licensing training field Other tasks as assigned Qualifications Requirements: Degree in Social Work (BSW, MSW) Licensed at the LSWA, LGSW or LCSW-C levels Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience speaking before groups of people in a compelling and convincing manner. SAFE Trained (preferred) PRIDE Trained (preferred) Willingness to work flexible schedule in order to conduct information sessions and pre-service Previous experience with foster care (preferred) Must be 21 years of age with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license Founded in 1980, The MENTOR Network is a national network of local human services providers offering an array of quality, community-based services in more than 30 states to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain and spinal cord injuries and other catastrophic injuries and illnesses, and to youth with emotional, behavioral and medically complex challenges as well as their families.
