As a Senior Financial Analyst and part of the Finance Operations with New Jersey MENTOR / REM New Jersey you’ll be one of those special people. New Jersey MENTOR / REM New Jersey is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to assist the Business Manager with overall financial statement review, ensuring accuracy and making recommendations via AJE, etc for multiple sites and states. The Senior Financial Analyst completes the initial review of all transactions that impact the P&L by providing on-going monitoring and reviews of information, completing analytical reviews, and providing commentary to the Business Manager. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will prepare daily / weekly / month end metric reporting to individual programs. In addition, prepares, as needed, reports to assist the programs in their understanding of the daily / weekly / monthly numbers. High level review of AR and assist in analysis / review / reporting. Also, to coordinate all cost report preparation, audits and associated analysis. This role will complete the initial review of all transactions that impact cost reports, provide on-going monitoring and review of information, complete analytical reviews, and provide commentary to management. Essential Job Functions: Reviews and prepares, as needed, journal entries and assists the Business Manager required monthly reconciliations. Reviews income statements throughout the month to ensure accuracy and completeness at month end. Assists with the preparation of the internal budget/financial target measure summary. Assists in analyzing and reviewing the monthly financial results against established targets. Assists in preparing the complete set of financial statements, trended and actual versus established targets. Analyzes and reviews trended financial results. Completes and coordinates various audits as assigned. Assists Business Manager with the annual company budgets, financial targets and forecast. Reviews all budgets/reforecast completed to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assists in analyzing financial information, trends, and data. Assists Business Manager with ensuring Sarbanes Oxley compliance with all assigned areas and other audit requirements. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelors degree in accounting or related field or commensurate experience Three to five years of experience in an Accounting related position Experience with Hyperion and Oracle preferred Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field Excellent computer skills, data entry speed and accuracy, and related office equipment Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word Ability to work independently and effectively Ability to work in an extremely fast paced environment Ability to work under pressure and tight time deadlines Founded in 1980, The MENTOR Network is a national network of local human services providers offering an array of quality, community-based services in more than 30 states to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain and spinal cord injuries and other catastrophic injuries and illnesses, and to youth with emotional, behavioral and medically complex challenges as well as their families.
