Therapeutic Mentor - 16000DYQ Job Clinical Primary Location United States-MA-MAWorcester Organization Hastings Description Massachusetts MENTOR is seeking a Therapeutic Mentor (TM) to coordinate the development and implementation of services and treatments to youth in the Worcester and central MA region. Therapeutic Mentors are skilled human service professionals who understand the impact that community activities can have on a child’s life. TMs will provide services in the youth’s home and community. By integrating our services with engaging activities we can help the youth we serve meet their treatment goals. Responsibilities: Meet with a client base of 8-9 youth weekly in the Worcester and central MA region Preparation of social skill building activities and lesson plans for each client Assist with teaching youth socially appropriate behavior while in the community Assist with assessing safety issues that may have an impact on the service Meet expectations surrounding documentation deadlines and utilization trends Qualifications High School degree or GED and two years’ experience working with children/adolescents/transition age groups Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and one year experience preferred Must be 21 years of age Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation to individuals receiving services Founded in 1980, Massachusetts MENTOR provides home and community-based services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and youth with emotional and behavioral challenges, as well as their families.
