Description

Note to Candidate:
  • We are a 24 hours/day - 7 days a week department
  • Must be flexible to be scheduled between the hours of 6:30am and 10:45pm
  • Must be available weekends and holidays.


As an Communications Center Operator you will ensure the safety of our customers, employees and visitors at all of our facilities. With a strong emphasis on customer service, you will handle crisis and emergency situations providing clear, calm, and decisive direction in situations such as: medical and fire emergencies; life safety system irregularities; workplace threats and violence situations; motor vehicle accidents and environmental emergencies. Working with state of the art technology, you will also monitor and respond to radio requests, dispatching officers to all security and safety related customer-service calls and emergency situations. Utilizing your excellent attention to detail you will perform phone and email communication relating to: Life safety incidents, 911 emergency calls, power failures, medical emergencies, employee/customer inquiries, equipment and facility service requests, facility access, daily activity events, and more.

To be successful in this role, you must have at least two years of related work experience and excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office. You must also be able to maintain composure in ambiguous and stressful situations. We are looking for strong team players capable of making difficult decisions that affect the safety and wellbeing of others, who have a passion for providing incredible service. Candidates with a degree in Criminal Justice or a related field are preferred. Law enforcement or Emergency Services experience is preferred. Candidates will be CPR/AED/First Responder trained.
