Dental Billing Processor - Full-time / Part-time

Processing Dental Claims and denials. Work off of two monitors. Each day the team lead sends an update of how many Flats (Prior data service claims from the day before), how many claims are outstanding from the previous month, and how many RTB's (ready to bill) are left.
They use Mypac database for x-rays. If for any reason the x ray is not there then the claims processor has to generate a request to the dental office to get the claim fixed.
They work off of two types of procedures: 1. Hygiene which are exams, cleaning, floride treatments. 2. Opts which are fillings, crowns, extractions. Some members of the team focus on just Hygiene and others focus just on Opts, and some do a combination of both. However, the team lead starts new processors with Hygiene.

Processors are required to verify demographics, start date of the procedure, and service date of the procedure. These dates need to be the same. Also responsible for reviewing the PEP for each claim which is an automatic verifier that kicks back the claim if something is missing.
