CNC MACHINIST - SET UP LEVEL- 2ND SHIFT - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description:

They very strongly prefer people who has machining expereince.

These machininsts are required to hold very tight tolerances on large parts

We preferr people that have come from large part manufacruing rather than medical or other small component manufacturing

The job they run will really just be one part so it will not require a ton of set-up skills

They will read blueprints, do complex shop math and inspect their own parts using height guages and calipers

Work Environment:

Machine Shop, defense, aerospace products

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience operating CNC - large parts preferred

Must have a minumum of 3 years reading blueprints, inspectiing parts, and G&M code edits

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Performance Expectations:

They will be expected to be able to operate mills and make tool changes with on their own with very minimal training

Day one, they will work with a lead to just get familiar with the products and machinery, they could be machining on their own by the end of the week

They are measured mostly on the amout of good product they put out, scrapping material there is extremely expensive given the large parts, this is tracked on a daily and weekly basis
disqulifiers, must have setup level or be trained in to be a setup level machinist, cannot be only a button pusher

Best VS average: someone who has experience completing setups on their own that require minimal training
