Job Description
- The Guest Service Agents shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Resort's Culture.
- Greet guests and customers with a friendly and courteous welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as restaurant and outlet hours including local attractions.
- Complete the check-in process by inputting and retrieving information.
- Confirming information regarding number of guests and room rate.
- Promote Hilton Hotels and Resorts and the Company's sales and marketing programs.
- Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guests needs.
- Code electronic keys. Non-verbally confirm the room number and rate.
- Provide welcome folders containing room keys, certificates, coupons and Resort Outlet hours of Operation.
- Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods. Handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank.
- Accept and record vouchers, traveler's checks, and other forms of payment.
- Convert foreign currency at current posted rates.
- Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts.
- Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear communication.
- Input messages and guest request or inquiries into the computer.
- Collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions.
- Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers and vendors.
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, and college degree preferred.
- Hotel Hilton Front Desk or Reservations experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
