PURPOSE

The Regional Human Resources Manager (RHRM) teams with the Director Human Resources in providing advice, counsel and support to the Region’s Leadership Teams and Stores for all Human Resources matters. This position is responsible for multiple HR functions to include but not limited to the company’s tactical deployment of strategies developed around, but not limited to Talent Attraction and Succession Planning, Learning and Training, Associate Relations, Rewards and HR Operations.

Essential Functions

Human Resources
  • Supports the Human Resources Department’s initiatives and best practices in partnership with store management
  • Collaborates with the Director Human Resources to identify, develop and implement effective HR practices
  • Teams with the Director Human Resources in providing strategic insight into operational challenges and goals
  • Ensures that all stores adhere to and comply with applicable company policies
  • Ensures effective use of the company’s applicant tracking system, data management, payroll, and time capture system and recommends enhancements
  • Triage and troubleshoot incoming HR phone calls and Store Support Center inquires
  • Respond to employee relations calls and benefit inquires as needed
  • Ensure completion of termination paperwork including company asset collection, etc.
  • Run standard ADP reports and provide to the field as well as ad-hoc reports as requested

    Talent Management
  • Facilitates and provides leadership, within their Region, on the company’s talent attraction and succession planning processes and programs
  • Facilitates and provides leadership, within their Region, on the company’s recruitment and sourcing processes and programs
  • Facilitates and provides leadership, within their Region, on the company’s selection processes
  • Facilitates and provides leadership, within their Region, on the company’s hiring and onboarding processes
  • Facilitates and provides leadership, within their Region, on the company’s performance management process
Learning Management
  • Facilitates and provides leadership, within their Region, on the company’s sales and product knowledge training
  • Facilitates and provides leadership, within their Region, on the company’s operations training
  • Facilitates and provides leadership, within their Region, on the company’s management and leadership training
Associate Relations
  • Conduct file audits, investigations, conflict resolution, discipline administration, policy interpretation, exit interviews, unemployment claims, and all other associate/manager consultation duties
  • Observe and conduct individual discussions or group sessions in store locations to measure changes in employee engagement
  • Assist in handling performance management issues and other associate relations matters.
  • Assist Director Human Resources, SDROs and CEMs with terminations by conducting on site preliminary investigations, reviewing correctives actions, reviewing performance evaluations, and responding to employment-related claims and charges.
  • Approve no call/no show and other performance related terminations for field
  • May conduct site-specific Human Resources audits
HR Operations and Total Rewards:
  • Facilitates the administration of compensation, incentives, rewards & recognition and benefit programs
  • Communicate and provide counsel on the company’s compensation, benefits, relocation and paid time off programs.
  • Coordinate HR materials for new store openings as needed
  • Conduct webinars and in-person training programs on specific human resources topics. Ensure compliance within their Region regarding associate files and records


Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)

  1. This position is salaried exempt, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week
  2. Frequent travel required including air and car travel
  3. The noise level in the work environment is representative of a retail warehouse and traditional office settings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
  • BA/BS degree (preferred to be in Human Resources or related field) or equivalent experience required
  • 5 years of HR experience required (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • Exempt level experience involving various HR disciplines, and including multi-site/multi-state responsibility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Working knowledge of effective HR practices and legal/regulatory framework in a customer service industry/environment
  • Working knowledge of employment law including FMLA, EEO, ADA, FLSA, etc. required
  • Experience managing the leave process to include FMLA, workers compensation, military, bereavement, jury duty, etc.
  • Familiarity with Payroll Processing, Applicant Tracking and Learning Management Systems
  • Working knowledge of compensation, payroll, and benefits administration
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently, within a team across all levels and diverse cultures, and the ability to lead team projects
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience facilitating meetings at all levels
  • Must pass pre-employment background check

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
