IT Logistics Specialist

Responsibilities:
  • Plans, coordinates and monitors the logistics of IT equipment, low voltage wiring, telephone systems, point of sale devices, sound systems, in store network in all domestic stores.
  • Identifies hardware and software requirements of projects based on specification, and makes recommendations to management.
  • Maintains and distributes project hardware and software levels to the project team.
  • Prepares budgets, purchase orders, invoices, forecasts and accruals.
  • Provides logistics management for all inventory assets at the depots from price negotiation with vendors to the final verification of equipment and services received.
  • Determines threshold inventory levels in order to eliminate back orders for all service providers.
  • Establishes best practices, policies and procedures with the depots to ensure our business needs are met by using Service Level Agreements agreed upon by the business and depots.
  • Establishes a common reporting methodology to ensure the depots can be measured against the Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensures the disposal process of hardware is documented and cost effective.
  • Partners with the Technical Services team to identify trends and troubleshoot issues.
  • Establishes and maintains vendor relationships for standards build items to support new and project stores, including acquiring new devices; may negotiate prices, procumbent and settlement. Makes vendor section recommendations to management.
  • Confirms goods and services have been received. This includes inventory fulfillment at the depots, new stores, project stores and labor services related to all store activity. Reports inaccuracies and resolves prior to payment authorization to upper management. Travel to the depots for on-site inspections.
  • Researches new products in collaboration with Technical Services tem and recommends hardware replacement; coordinates testing of new hardware for use in the stores. This includes the lab equipment, procurement for all Development and Software Management.
  • Coordinates all transportation needed for shipping equipment (from vendors, depots, etc.) to stores.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of equipment and technology platforms, drawings and specifications, materials, and required standards.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Skills/Knowledge:
  • Strong ability to maintain effective relationships.
  • Intermediate knowledge of accounting concepts and financial key terms.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple prioritizes, detailed work, reasoning, and deadlines.
  • Must be flexible, analytical and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a small team setting.
  • Ability to operation a personal computer and utilize Microsoft software, including advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to use online training modules to gain proficiency in new applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of retail information technology and related hardware components and the installation and configuration of servers, Point of Sale (POS), telephone, sound systems, in-store network and low voltage wiring.

Minimum Experience:
  • 3 years of experience in the field of logistics, projects coordination or finance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or related equivalent work experience.
