Job Summary

The Jewelry Production associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, processing,  pricing and packaging  to stores the jewelry donations as directed by the Jewelry Assistant Manager and his/her supervisor or Lead (if applicable). Responsible to meet productivity standards and production goals. 

 

Essential Functions:

Responsible for sorting donated jewelry as directed by the Jewelry Assistant Manager.

Responsible for sorting by quality and identify certain categories for Assistant Manager to review.  

Learn different style and periods. 

Responsible for processing and packaging jewelry for retail stores.

Responsible for ensuring that the stores are supplied with jewelry that is properly processed, prepared and adequate in quantity. 

Ensure that special requests from the stores for jewelry are promptly prepared and shipped.

Achieve personal productivity goals.

Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma required.

Specific Skills/Knowledge/Licenses: preferably able to identify period (when jewelry was made), material, and quality and describe for E-commerce.

Experience: 1 year experience selling vintage and/or fine jewelry preferred.

Must be able to do detail work ( untangle without breaking chains items, matching earring  and pieces)

A jewelry background is preferred.

Basic computer skills

 

Essential Physical Abilities:

The position requires moderate lifting up to 35 pounds as well as infrequent pushing and pulling.  This position may require long periods of standing.

Time Management

Learning new processes

Organizational skills

Internal and external customer service

 

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment, moderate noise level, exposure to dust.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
