This is an active, hands on position responsible for any of the
following areas: electrical, mechanical and fire/life safety. We are looking
for a licensed electrician who is familiar and comfortable working with Data
Center / Facility equipment and systems. Shift is Fri-Sun 7p-7a with
overtime as needed.

 

Primary Responsibilities:


Licensed Electrician
Maintain and operate Enterprise Data Center, including
mechanical, electrical and fire/life safety equipment

Requirements

Requirements:


HS Diploma/GED
Able to work Fri-Sun 7p-7a
Licensed Journeyman Electrician by state of MN or
higher
Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following
submission of Department of Defense form SF86 NAC form SF86
US Citizenship
2+ years of experience with electrical assets,
including but not limited to UPS (uninterruptible power supplies), ATS
(automatic transfer switches), VFD (variable frequency drives), PDU (power
distribution units), and generators
Must be able to comply with ALL of the following: lift and carry 40 pounds, sit and stand for long
periods of time, climb ladders, walk on cat-walks and be comfortable
working in elevated positions on lifts and platforms


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience operating key mechanical assets, including
but not limited to chillers, cooling towers, water treatment systems,
CRACs-computer room air conditioners, pumps, sumps and leak detection
systems. 
Experience using key fire/life safety systems,
including but not limited to VESDA-very early smoke detection apparatus
and pre-action sprinkler systems.
Experience operating and manipulating VFDs and
PLCs. 
Experience installing WHIPS (power connections to
various devices) in hot panels within raised floor environments.
Experience building and assembling computer room racks,
cabinets, HDAs and cutting and installation of floor tile.


As a requirement of UnitedHealth Group's contract with the
Department of Defense, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of
favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense eQuip Form
SF86, (the National Agency Check Legal and Credit or NACLC). Successful completion
of the NACLC process is a requirement for continued employment in this role.
NACLC processing will be initiated by our TRICARE Security Officer post-offer,
and can take 3-6 months for a final decision communication from the Department
of Defense. Candidates will be allowed to begin employment with UnitedHealth
Group in this role based on an interim clearance, and final results will be
communicated as they are received. Failure to obtain final NACLC approval will
