Job Description: Candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting and repairing production machinery that relates to steel manufacturing. Work Environment: Candidate will be working in a steel production environment that is very hot during the summer. Qualifications: *2+ years of experience working on manufacturing/production machinery
*Experience with gear boxes, motors, basic conveyors, PLCs, Ladder Logic, overhead cranes, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (MIG & Stick), and shearers, are all qualifications that are being sought.
Electrical candidates should be able to pull wire, run conduit, and read schematics
*Must be able to read a tape measure
*Lean experience is a HUGE plus
Performance Expectations: Candidate will be expected to repair work orders with minimal errors. Interview Information: Candidate will interview with the Maintenance Manager, Mark Dancy and one of his foreman. If they like the candidate during questioning, they will bring them on the shop floor for a tour. Candidates should wear jeans or Khakis, a polo shirt and steel toed boots that lace up to the interview.
They may be asked to come back for a 2nd interview.
Additional Compensation: *$1 shift differential for 2nd shift for the first 6 months and then $2 after 6 months.
*After 90 days, they may get a pay increase based on their performance
*Annual raises after that
Additional Information: *OT will be required on most weekends!
*They will need to have their own tools
*Ideal candidates will be Millwrights and multi-craft mechanics.
*Ideal industry to seek is experience from saw mills and paper mills.
*Must Bennett Test and PLC Test each candidate
*Looking for candidates who are looking for long-term opportunity that offers room for growth and development
*Looking for 1st & 2nd shift: 1st shift is 6 am to 2:30 and 2nd is 2:30 pm to 1 am. Shifts are M-TH and then and 8 hour shift on Friday.
