Packaging Technician

Aerotek Scientific is currently seeking qualified candidates for packaging and shipping/receiving technicians in the Jerseyville area. These will be 1st and 2nd shift opportunities. All candidates must be willing to submit to a drug scren and background check.

Job Description:

These positions are for packaging corn and soybean seed for research trials. Candidates are expected to have basic computer skills, high attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the ability to stand for all or part of an 8-hour shift. This is indoor work all related to the packaging, sorting, counting, and packaging of seeds to be shipped out to different regions of the world.

Will operate seed counting/sorting machinery and count by hand. Will use scanners to read bar codes and ensure they are within regulations specified by the receiving country according to weight, size, etc.
