About this job
The avionics technicians, aircraft electricians and aircraft electronics technician will be performing testing, troubleshooting and repair duties on avionics systems and related equipment. The avionics technicians, aircraft electricians and aircraft electronics technicians will be involved with a variety of duties including (but not limited to) flight testing operations, final checkout and aircraft modifications. The electronics technician will also support operations on domestic and / or overseas deployments.
The qualified technician will have prior experience working as an avionics technician, an aircraft electrician or an aircraft electronics technician performing organizational or flight line level maintenance; shipboard aircraft electronics technicians will also be considered. Knowledge of digital, analog and RF circuits is required for consideration. The qualified candidate must have experience reading and understanding schematics. The most qualified candidate will have prior experience performing troubleshooting and repair on avionics equipment, radar and / or navigation systems. The most qualified candidate will have additional experience performing component level troubleshooting and repair work on electronics or avionics including but not limited to intermediate level, back shop or depot level avionics experience.
This is a full time, direct position located in the Palmdale, CA area. Candidates must be willing and available to travel internationally as this position will require deployments for approximately two (2) to three (3) months at a time (but for as long as eight (8) months at a time) on a rotational basis throughout the year. During international deployments, technicians will be paid up to 180% of their base pay plus housing. A relocation package is available to qualified candidates to relocate to the Palmdale, CA area.
Base pay for the first six months is $29-30/hour DOE. This is a direct/permanent position.
