Staff Accountant

Job summary

Staff Accountant position on a full time basis for a dynamic growing company located in Las Colinas. Staff Accountant will be responsible for various aspects of month-end close process and assist in preparing financial reporting information.

Summary of essential job functions

• Prepare monthly rent rolls for approximately 530 retail store locations.
• Prepare journal entries for various asset and/or liability accounts assigned.
• Prepare reconciliations for various asset and/or liability accounts assigned.
• Prepare personal property tax rendition forms for over 400 retail store locations using fixed asset schedules on an annual basis. Scan, mail or file of the completed forms
• Prepare state compliance filings as assigned.
• Assist in preparing month-end financial statement packages.
• Run various system allocations and other reports as needed.
• Perform variance analysis and review of various accounts during month-end close process.
• Perform other duties and lends assistance to co-workers as directed by the immediate supervisor or other team members.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance or currently pursuing accounting/finance major.
• Past experience in a staff accountant role is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to details.
• Working knowledge in Excel and Outlook is required.
• Demonstrated organization and comprehension skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in US.
