Does the challenge intrigue you?To succeed in this role as a Senior Business Analyst, you will have strong project management skills to lead project work across cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are needed, along with superior time management abilities. You will work on multiple concurrent projects, and need proven experience in utilizing people and process knowledge to assist in making critical decisions. Experience and proficiency in preparing planning documents and written reports is a must. The ability to reprioritize tasks is needed in a rapidly changing environment to drive multiple high priority tasks in parallel. We need a team player to work in conjunction with other team members to make decisions related to trend analysis and research. Primary Responsibilities: Work with assigned business customers to determine reporting needs and interpret, analyze and document customer needs and requirements for report development team Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience Organize and facilitate problem-solving discussions with business sponsors and ARA Management to resolve issues Analyze and evaluate both current and proposed business processes, perform gap analysis, and translate systems needs into detailed business requirements / specification documents Support Advanced Research and Analytics (ARA) by acting as a liaison between business unit and ARA staff; share information between these two groups, facilitate communications and knowledge transfer where required Provide alternatives, recommendations and assistance to users, managers, and executives, related to the requirements and new business processes Experience communicating with audiences at multiple levels of the organizationAbility to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate dataSelf-motivated, self-directed, team oriented, responsible, and reliable, with a positive attitude and a proactive style; must possess the ability to work in a highly variable, virtual and matrixed environment Demonstrated ability to plan and execute project plans including activity planning, project administration and status reporting Demonstrated experience in participating in system application design, process modeling, business value analysis and business process design and in developing and writing clear functional / technical business requirementsExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills; must be able to communicate ideas and analysis in a clear and concise fashion to clients, colleagues and senior business leaders Ability to interact with various levels of personnel, including middle, senior, lead positions as well as various levels of managementAbility to problem solve including prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects and deadlinesAbility to shift priorities quicklyPolished presentation skills and experience leading meetingsNegotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skillsAbility to quickly acquire and apply knowledgeExcellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, presentation and analytical skills requiredSupport the Escalation Tracking System - Broker/Employer (ETS-BE) applicationUnderstand business requirements for each stakeholderParticipate in priority setting and communicate back to stakeholdersWrite and update user documentationEnsure appropriate testing is done by technology owner on each releaseDefine requirements for changes driven by Planning teamUnderstand the impact of claim platform migrations, business process changes, and complementary projects and communicate/document accordingly

Requirements

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or higher (Business, Computer Information Systems or Health Administration major preferred but not required) or High School Diploma/ GED with 3+ years of Data Modeling and Reporting Infrastructure experience 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst facilitating, gathering and documenting requirements (such as process flows; use cases; business and technical requirements documents) for both business and IT counterparts 1+ years of SQL querying and/or relational database experience Experience communicating with audiences at multiple levels of the organization Experience with PC based software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and VisioPreferred Qualifications: Experience with SQL querying in Microsoft SQL Server Knowledgeable in SDLC processes, roles, responsibilities and deliverables Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
