Summary

Territory Sales Specialist

We are seeking an outgoing, tech-savvy, sales-driven professional to increase mindshare and motivate associates within a major retailer. The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in building and maintaining strong relationships in retail locations through customer service, sales support, and product expertise. Must have the ability to drive sales by way of successfully training and coaching retail staff, creating and implementing motivating in-store activities to increase product mindshare, managing store relationships across multiple stores, and contributing to the store’s customer service culture.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with retail employees and store management to drive and increase sales of the client’s products and services. Use direct training, observation, side-by-side sales support and customer interactions as a direct method of demonstrating and educating employees about sales techniques and the client's new and current promotional activities. Educate associates and management on how to sell the client’s products and services via informal (side-by-side).
  • Use personal initiative to create and implement motivational contests, goals, challenges and incentives to further improve sales or in response to low performance as you encounter challenges. Through analysis of visits and sales data, make suggestions and presentations to suggest methods of increasing sales for the client.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to the partner's employees, managers and customers, demonstrating in-depth product knowledge, and maintaining client presentation standards. Provide exceptional client service and follow-up with all stakeholders.
  • Effectively managing multiple stores within your territory.
  • Increase brand representations and effectiveness through establishing and maintain customer and client relationships.


Qualifications
  • 2-3+ years Direct Sales Experience or Assisted Sales Experience in a consumer electronics retail environment
  • Training experience in both informal and formal settings
  • Experience as a computer and/or personal device sales Associate, supervisor, or trainer is a plus

Position Summary

As a Territory Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving sales results for our client program in assigned partner retail locations by generating excitement, brand awareness, and product knowledge. This position works directly with retail partners, their employees, and store management on behalf of our client. Within a National Retail stores, the Specialist will engage with both sales associates and Geek Squad Agents. The measure of success is the ability to positively impact sales through effective trainings, both side by side as well as classroom style. Duties include but are not limited to identifying marketing and sales opportunities, providing training on client products, and generating excitement for selling the client’s product. Program success is measured by positive sales numbers, relationship building, timely reporting, and overall contribution to the program.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work directly with partner front-line employees and store management to drive and increase sales of the client’s products and service
  • Use direct training, observation, side-by-side sales support and customer interactions as a direct method of demonstrating and educating employees about sales techniques and the client's new and current promotional activities.
  • Educate associates and management on how to sell the client’s products and services via informal (side-by-side) and formal (classroom) trainings.
  • Use personal initiative to create and implement motivational contests, goals, challenges and incentives to further improve sales or in response to low performance as you encounter challenges.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of visits and sales data, make suggestions and presentations to suggest methods of increasing sales for the client.
  • Analyze provided metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and successes. Couple data results with client directives to develop strategy for growing sales in the assigned territory.
  • Achieve client goals and objectives by effectively managing stores within your territory.
  • Increase brand representations and effectiveness through establishing and maintain customer and client relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your assigned retail locations and client contacts through personal integrity, sales support, and product expertise.
  • Become the product expert on all aspects of the client's products and services, including technology, plans, promotions, sales techniques, best practices, computer system and on-line tools, and escalation processes.
  • Demonstrate and transfer product knowledge through all partner contact
  • Provide outstanding customer service to the partner's employees, managers and customers, demonstrating in-depth product knowledge, and maintaining client presentation standards. Provide exceptional client service and follow-up with all stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED

(Preferred): Associate's Degree

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Computer Science/ Information Technology
  • Requires 3-5 years of Direct Sales Experience, Assisted Sales Experience in a consumer electronics environment
  • Training experience in both informal and formal settings
  • Experience as a computer and/or personal device sales Associate, supervisor, or trainer is a plus


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Must understand both the sales process and effective training techniques for sales
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong and effective selling skills
  • Must be able to build strong working relationships with managers, sales associates and others in the industry
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to initiate dialogue and engage sales personnel and consumers; must be extremely confident and comfortable engaging partner employees at all levels of the organization during both formal and informal interactions
  • Ability to ensure a high level of service and quality is maintained
  • Working knowledge of basic consumer personal device setups and operations highly desired
  • Proficiency in software installations and upgrades highly desired
  • Working and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
