Job Description & Qualifications:
Job Summary
Responsible for planning, developing and executing a comprehensive Asset Protection Program for a single business unit within HDS tailored to unique business needs. Define success across the unit in theft and fraud / operational loss prevention. Drive a program to protect the assets of the business. Design and execute methodologies to deliver positive results. Drive partnerships with business unit leadership, associated departments within the business as well as other leaders to deliver on results. Drive profit improvement through shrinkage improvement in the business.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Develops and executes a Asset Protection Program across the business.
- Plans, develops and executes short-and long-term strategy to protect the company assets to include physical security critical infrastructure, operational excellence and loss elimination.
- Coordinates and maintains partnerships with all departments within business to positively impact asset protection metrics. Develops high quality training as required to support loss elimination.
- Evaluates operational processes for areas of opportunity, shrink elimination, and develops effective means to mitigate losses.
- Establishes business unit Asset Protection goals consistent with Enterprise Asset Protection Goals, performance expectations and standards.
- Identifies theft and fraud activity within business and partners with management to resolve any in-business cases.
- Attracts, recruits and hires high-performance diverse associates into the organization.
Nature and Scope
- Solutions require analysis and investigation.
- Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience.
- Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Work Environment
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be eighteen years of age
- Must pass the Drug Test
- Must pass the Background Check
- Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years regional or similar leadership experience in a Loss Prevention / Asset Protection Role.
- Experience conducting interviews (in person and telephone)
- Proven track record of developing a Asset Protection, Loss Prevention or Security organization in a multi-unit environment.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Proficient understanding of Inventory Management in Diversified Industry Platform.
- Wicklander, CFI, CPP, CFE preferred
