Description
As a part-time Wegmans Corporate Security Officer you will work with experienced team members to protect employees, visitors and vendors as well as company property and assets. You will play an import role in making sure Wegmans is a safe place to work and visit. With a strong emphasis on customer service, you will routinely patrol on foot and in a company vehicle the buildings and grounds of Wegmans property including corporate offices, distribution/warehouse facilities and satellite work sites. In this role you will also respond to emergency situations, assisting with medical escorts. You will also enforce vehicle and safety regulations on Wegmans property, and investigate complaints and disturbances. You will write reports summarizing events that occur during your shift, using a proprietary software application.
In addition to these touring responsibilities, you will be responsible for access control to and from Wegmans Distribution and Manufacturing facilities for employees and vendors. You will ensure truck drivers have the appropriate credentials when entering the Wegmans facilities. You will also seal and unseal tractor trailers. You will input driver information in Microsoft Excel to ensure we have an accurate record of all people on the Wegmans property at all times.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have at least two years of related work experience and excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office. You must also be able to maintain composure in ambiguous and stressful situations. We are looking for strong team players capable of making difficult decisions on the fly, who have a passion for providing incredible service. Candidates with a degree in Criminal Justice or a related field are preferred. First responder, EMS, Fire Service and/or Law Enforcement experience are preferred. Candidates will be CPR/AED/First Responder trained.
