General Summary: Afterschool Counselor supervises children ages 5-12 participating in the afterschool program. This includes assisting children with homework, sports, gym games, and fitness activities. They are responsible for the personal care, safety and discipline of the children. Afterschool Counselor also maintains proper staff:child ratios and knows all emergency procedures.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have at least three (3) months of full-time or equivalent part-time satisfactory and verifiable experience with school-age children. Excellent problem solving ability, creative inclination, and innovative thinker. High levels of enthusiasm and energy. Customer service oriented. Some education relating to early educational development and previous expereince working as a Camp Counselor preferred. Must be available from 1:15PM - 6PM Mondays and 2:15PM - 6PM, T - F.
Additional Requirements: Proof of meeting the experience qualification must be submitted via a reference letter/s from former employer/s prior to job offer. Must pass a criminal background check and drug test. CPR certification but will ceritfy for the right person.
