Jackson Hewitt Tax Service-CSRA is now hiring. We have both full and part time seasonal positions available for the upcoming 2017 tax season.  We operate 13 locations in the CSRA, choose the location that is right for you!

Our Tax Pros provide outstanding customer service and quality tax preparation, while maintaining all company policies and procedures. This position regularly works with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature and requires a working knowledge of income taxes.
 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet all clients in a friendly and professional manner; make customers feel welcome and comfortable.
  • Conduct a thorough in-person tax interview with potential clients, using the Company proprietary tax software application.
  • Complete all related tax forms in accordance with policies and in compliance with legislation and regulations.
  • Audit all tax return forms for accuracy and completeness (i.e. names, identifying numbers, and client signatures).
  • Research tax-related questions and issues and respond to clients in a timely manner.
  • Resolve client complaints and/or work with Supervisor (as needed) to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Obtain and maintain a PTIN and any other professional licensing requirements from the IRS and the state.

    COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a High School Diploma/GED Equivalent, college courses of study in tax preparation and/or accounting a plus.
  • Must be able to offer proof of appropriate education and/or experience in the area of individual tax return preparation, or be willing to obtain required education.
