Well established manufacturer is looking for a marketing generalist to fill a new Marketing Manager position.

General Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Manager oversees day-to-day implementation of all marketing activities in support of strategic business goals and objectives. S/he assists in determining methods, plans, and strategies for continued growth of revenues in both established and emerging markets.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the creation of all marketing, sales, publicity and promotional materials including: visual elements, copy, layout and design. Ensures consistent branding and messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Manages the advertising plan including: media buys, placement of insertion orders, trafficking of creative, proof of performance and invoice payment.
  • Coordinates production of all collateral including: catalogues, brochures, sales literature, technical literature, product manuals, product packaging, direct mail, point-of-sale signage and promotional goods, e.g. apparel, etc.
  • Manages media editorial including: press releases, articles, product reviews and product listings.
  • Manages digital properties including: website, email communications, newsletter, blog and social media.
  • Manages the marketing department budget. Controls spending and seeks cost savings. Prepares monthly reports outlining departmental expenditures.
  • Provides quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting (ROI/KPI measurement) of all marketing activities in relation to strategic objectives and company goals. Identifies market trends and prospective opportunities for business and product development.
  • Assesses promotional partnership opportunities, e.g. event sponsorship and artist endorsements, and guides activation and fulfilment of all deliverables.
  • In collaboration with the Sales Department, coordinates all activities related to trade shows including exhibit presentation, installation/strike and event management.
  • Supervises, mentors and evaluates the performance of Marketing Department Staff. Manages professional relationships with industry associates, media, agencies and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years' marketing experience, preferably in pro-audio, music or entertainment industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience supervising marketing operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: communication, time-management, goal setting, priority management, financial management, critical decision making, attention to detail and mentoring.
  • Proficiency using office equipment: computers, Microsoft Office, copier/fax/scan and phone systems.
  • Ability to work irregular hours (weekends/evenings) and to travel both domestically and internationally.
