Production Tech Support - Machine Maintenance

Thermoset Set-up Technician – Injection - Production

• 1 st shift position
• Monday-Thursday from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm.
• Starting pay will be $16.00 with a review in 90 days.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Monitor product visually and take corrective action when necessary and ensure product is consistent with established specifications;
• Escalate quality issues as appropriate and ensure highest possible product quality and adherence to quality system ISO, and/or other standards;
• Perform hanging and clamping of molds, disassembling and cleaning of barrels and screws;
• Follow production schedules, obtain work instructions for hanging mold in press, set up production runs in press and maintain auxiliary equipment;
• Remove mold to analyze for cleaning/repairs before storing and all secondary and auxiliary equipment from the press area;
• Complete setup/cycle sheets and job packet and any special instructions;
• Identify and correct problems: apply experience and knowledge in making adjustments and train others in areas of expertise; document changes and address questionable parts;
• Monitor and focus on scrap reduction;
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and wear required personal protective equipment;
• Perform duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures and communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor.
• High School diploma or equivalent requested;
• Work related experience in injection molding;
• Able to read and understand work instructions and perform math computations and computer data entry;
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills;
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb a ladder up to 15 ft. and walk and stand during entire shift.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience required
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 18 years old and can provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and/or drug screen
