POSITION PURPOSE
Home Depot Interiors is responsible for the Sales and Manufacturing of premium Kitchen and Bath remodeling products offered in over 45 major markets. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for inspecting and validating that all products are accounted for prior to shipping completed jobs to customer or branch locations in an accurate and timely manner.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Inspect boxes to ensure that job is complete.
- Shrink wrap boxes and label pallet with PRO # (freight company tracking number).
- Put shipment on scale and record weight.
- Load jobs on to the truck using a forklift.
- Other job duties as assigned by manager.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Position Reports to: Shift Supervisor No direct responsibility for supervising others.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
TRAVEL
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Age: 18
Must pass drug and background tests.

Minimal or no educational requirements for this job.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE -1
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES- FORKLIFT
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must pass drug and background tests.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior HDI plant experience preferred. Experience in shipping. Experience in working a forklift.

* Ability to read and comprehend instructions and paperwork/job orders. * Basic verbal and written communication skills required. * Basic mathematical skills. * Good organizational skills. * Strong attention to detail. * Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to maneuver jobs. Requires occasional stooping and kneeling. * Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
