Position Purpose: The Technical Analyst/Developer is responsible for converting business requirements into system solutions for their designated product line on Homedepot.com. This position will provide quality solutions and expertise for applications promoting the site merchandising, marketing, and technology teams. Importantly, the incumbent must be able to compare business requirements with existing and potential capabilities to enable system enhancements. The Technical Analyst/Developer, Online will help ensure accurate, timely, and compatible solutions to business system needs. The Technical Analyst/Developer, Online should be passionate about high quality web environments and creating user efficiencies, as well as must have the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities: 30%-Translate business requirements into system solutions that maximize use of existing platform and compliment a multi business unit, team strategy. 20%-Conduct code reviews, functional testing, and end to end unit testing to ensure solution quality and compatibility with all existing functionality. 15%-Thoroughly document and package all developed items for deployment from lower life-cycle environments. 15%-Demonstrate clear communication, provide support, and technical expertise to other teams for solution QA and system regression testing, as well as provide timely correction of functionality and system defects. 10%-Work closely with IT partners, business members, and other matrix teams for technical troubleshooting of system issues and to ensure alignment in scope of new functionality 10%-Support overnight production environment deployments, analyze system compatibility, and validate system health and performance. completion of other tasks and projects as directed by management. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 5 years in web application development. Minimum 1 year Salesforce/Force.com platform development experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Proficiency in developing Apex VF Controllers and Apex Triggers. Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, SOQL, HTML, CSS, and XML. Proficiency in software engineering principles and methodologies.
