Aerotek CE is currently seeking a Facility Security Officer for a client in the Portland Metro Area. This is a direct placement position open for immediate employment.

Job Description:

  • Plans, develops and executes security activities to ensure company policies and procedures are compliant with customer and government requirements for the protection of classified information and personnel. Provides briefings delivered regularly as needed and as required to all employee personnel.
  • Initiates and processes Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance investigations in Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Electronic Facility Clearance System (eQIP) for qualified project and management personnel.
  • Conducts annual Defense Security Service (DSS) Security Vulnerability Assessments to ensure compliance with the NISPOM for all classified programs with an active DD254 (Contract Security Classification Specification).
  • Supports customer annual security reviews to confirm compliance with NN801 R3, Missile Defense Agency Ground Based Midcourse Defense programs and ensure compliance with program Security Classification Guides. Mentors and guides applicants through the eQIP security clearance process; provides required briefings and education through the course of their active clearance. Educates and reports information on a regular basis via JPAS as required by NISPOM. Process cleared employees for renewal investigation as needed, guide through reinvestigation process on a 5 to 10 year basis.
  • Manage physical security to include restricted swipe system, keys, and intrusion detection system
  • Oversee classified computer system which is configured in accordance with the System Security Plan (SSP 2011), Industrial Security Field Operations (ISFO) Process Manual, DDS Industrial Security Field Operations Office of the Designated Approving Authority.
  • Review of inbound Form DD-254s and issuance of Form DD-254s for subcontractors in support of contract requirements
  • Facility Clearance maintenance using the e-FCL process. Records retention and filing
  • Classified material management.
  • SPOT data entry and LOA management.
  • Conduct security training, investigates security violations and prepare reports specifying preventative action to be taken.
  • Experience with NSA Processing Manual 3-16 COMSEC and NSA Policy Manual CNSSI No. 4005 and will be responsible for all actions associated with receipt, handling, issuing, safeguarding, and accounting management matters

Qualifications:

  • Must have an active in-scope Secret security clearance.
  • Experience establishing, building and maintaining complex internal and external customer relationships specifically working with Defense Security Service and customer security representatives.
  • Proficient computer knowledge in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Assess).
  • Must have excellent writing, organizational and computer skills
  • Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter.
  • Ability to exercise sounds judgment, work well independently, prioritize duties and follow through tasks to completion.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines effectively and respond well to last minute, high priority, time sensitive projects.
  • Must be able to handle the pressure of constant interruptions.
  • Ability to schedule, direct and organize work within a diverse department and coordinate work with other departments to maintain efficiency.
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of relevant security documents, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Experience in writing technical and administrative instructional material (policies, procedures, work instructions, and training material).
  • Prior experience supporting National Industrial Security Program activities.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), and National Industrial Security Program Operation Manual (NISPOM) compliance
