Accounts Payable Clerk

Responsible for completing payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.

Will charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports, and record entries.

Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.

Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verify federal id numbers, schedule and prepare checks, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation, insure credit is received for outstanding memos, and issue stop payments.

Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.

Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.

Must be great with working within Microsoft Suite - Excel, Outlook and Word
