Duties: ¿ Continuously monitor the operating parameters of the paint system by processing and analyzing data and information to effectively recognize and identify problems and trends and respond in a timely manner. ¿ Audit and collect data from the various process checkpoints within the paint system. ¿ Create and maintain appropriate documents; check sheets, SPC charts, graphs and written reports. ¿ Analyze trends and identify problems from collected data and information. ¿Make adjustments as needed within the paint system parameters. ¿ Communicate and follow-up on issues related to the paint system¿s performance. ¿ Support paint system by observing all applicable safety rules and correcting or reporting unsafe conditions.

Required Skills:
¿ Knowledge of Pre-treatment Processes, Powder/Paint Application Methodology, Curing Technology, Fixturing (Paint Racks & Hooks), Coating Quality Assessment, and Coating Specification Generation. ¿ Knowledge of paint defect troubleshooting. ¿ Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects. ¿ Ability to document processes in work instructions format ¿ Ability to use computer programs including MS Office, MRP (JD Edwards preferred), etc.
