Estimator - Full-time / Part-time

Develop conceptual estimates for varied small project types ranging in value from (USD)50,000 to (USD)300M. Develop cost alternative solutions, and assist the project team in preparing and managing estimates throughout the funding phases. Works independently in evaluating external costs and developing internal cost estimates in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Exercises independent judgment in methods and techniques for obtaining results.

* Develop conceptual ROM estimates to support initiation phase of new projects. Ability to work conceptually with minimum information.
* At the completion of the project, develop and ensure recording of the project's historical cost information and "lessons learned" for future use.
* Develop and contribute to ongoing benchmarking activities using internal benchmarking software.
* Prepare preliminary estimates during the pre-construction phase, monitor design development cost trends in order to detect over-runs and potential problem areas.
* Interface with external cost consultants and general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate proposed estimates.
* Participate in the value engineering process.
* Keep and effectively utilize historical records of project costs.
* Analyze change orders for cost impact.
* Perform bid cost comparisons for proposal review teams.
* Develop detailed cashflows
* Provide costs and schedule impacts associated with risks that have been identified for a project
